Reading Summer Camp
Is your child having difficulty meeting reading milestones? Are you wondering if your child is ready to start school, or enter the next grade level? Does your child have difficulty sounding out words or understanding what they have read?
Before even beginning kindergarten, children are expected to have mastered many pre-reading skills such as rhyming, recognizing letters, matching letters to their sounds, and recognizing some words. Without the proper prerequisite skills to begin reading and writing, children can easily fall behind, and may have difficulty catching up in the classroom setting. Our reading camp can provide specific instruction based on your child’s strengths and weaknesses, in order to improve their decoding and comprehension skills. Before enrollment, a screening will be completed to determine the best group and plan for your child.
